Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and implement the financial strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and executive team.
- Collaborate with senior executives to deliver financial solutions that promote business growth.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Lead financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct in-depth financial analyses to support decision-making.
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and approval of financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements (GAAP or IFRS).
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Establish robust internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Oversee risk management processes, including insurance and asset protection.
- Ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations.
Treasury and Capital Management:
- Manage the capital structure, including debt, equity, and cash management strategies.
- Oversee cash flow management and optimize financing strategies.
- Maintain relationships with financial institutions and manage credit lines.
Investor Relations:
- Serve as the primary liaison with investors, providing insights into financial health and strategy.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors and investors.
- Communicate financial strategy and performance to shareholders and potential investors.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams.
- Ensure the team has the skills and resources to achieve financial goals.
- Identify opportunities for professional development within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
- ACCA certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior financial roles.
- Proven expertise in corporate finance, financial planning, analysis, accounting, and risk management.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with investor relations and board-level communication.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, financial software, and advanced Excel proficiency.
