Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Food Technologist to develop, improve, and ensure the safety and quality of food products. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food science, chemistry, and microbiology to create innovative formulations, enhance shelf-life, and maintain compliance with industry regulations such as FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP. The role involves product development, process optimization, sensory analysis, quality control, and regulatory compliance.

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Development & Innovation:

    • Develop new food products and improve existing formulations.
    • Enhance product shelf-life, texture, and nutritional value.
    • Conduct sensory evaluations and trials.
  2. Food Quality & Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with food safety laws, including FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000.
    • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and industry standards.
    • Implement and monitor food safety procedures.
  3. Research & Analysis:

    • Conduct analytical and microbiological testing of food products.
    • Analyze raw materials and finished goods for quality assurance.
    • Research market trends and advancements in food technology.
  4. Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting:

    • Identify and resolve quality issues in production.
    • Work closely with production teams to optimize processes.
    • Maintain proper documentation and reporting.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of food science, chemistry, and microbiology.
  • Proficiency in food safety regulations (HACCP, FSSAI, ISO 22000).
  • Experience in food processing, formulation, and sensory evaluation.
  • Ability to conduct analytical and microbiological testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and innovation skills.
  • Strong documentation and research capabilities.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Willingness to be present on the factory floor when required.

Educational Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry or B.Tech in Food Technology.
  • Experience: Fresher or 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.

Work Environment:

  • The role requires a mix of laboratory, production floor, and office work.
  • Must be comfortable working in a factory setting and adhering to safety guidelines.
