Head of Design and Estimation (MEP Projects)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management:

   • Lead the design and estimation team, mentoring junior engineers and estimators.
   • Allocate tasks and oversee project execution to ensure adherence to quality and timelines.

2. MEP Design:

   • Develop and oversee detailed MEP designs for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.
   • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
   • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems into overall project designs.

3. Estimation and Costing:

   • Prepare detailed cost estimations and budgets for MEP projects.
   • Analyze project requirements and provide accurate quotes based on design specifications.
   • Review project bids and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for cost-effective solutions.

4. Project Planning and Coordination:

   • Assist in the planning and scheduling of projects to align with design and estimation outputs.
   • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather project data and validate design feasibility.
   • Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth project execution.

5. Quality Assurance and Risk Management:

   • Implement best practices for quality assurance in MEP design and estimation.
   • Identify potential risks in the design and estimation stages and provide solutions to mitigate them.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

   • Maintain detailed records of designs, estimations, and project reports.
   • Present design proposals, budgets, and project plans to clients and stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: 10-12 years of experience in MEP design and estimation, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in MEP design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Expertise in cost estimation tools and methodologies.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Availability: Immediate joining is required.
