Job Description: Managing Director, Digital Payment Service Bank (Globacom’s Digital PSB)

Position Overview:

Globacom’s Digital Payment Service Bank (Digital PSB) is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to serve as the Managing Director (MD). This leadership role demands a seasoned individual with proven expertise in the Telecom, Oil & Gas Downstream, Digital Payment Service Bank, or FMCG sectors, capable of driving strategic growth and operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:

    • Formulate and execute the bank’s strategic goals in line with market opportunities and company vision.
    • Drive innovation and customer-centric solutions in digital payment services.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, regulators, and partners.
  2. Operational Excellence:

    • Oversee all operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and regulatory compliance.
    • Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks.
    • Optimize processes to achieve seamless digital payment transactions.
  3. Team Development:

    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
    • Implement initiatives for employee development and retention.
  4. Business Growth:

    • Drive revenue growth through innovative product offerings and market penetration strategies.
    • Identify and explore new business opportunities in digital payment services.
  5. Financial Stewardship:

    • Ensure fiscal responsibility by managing budgets and achieving financial targets.
    • Monitor financial performance and report to the Board of Directors.
  6. Market Positioning:

    • Enhance the brand presence of Globacom’s Digital PSB in local and international markets.
    • Keep abreast of industry trends and adapt strategies accordingly.

Key Requirements:

  1. Experience:

    • Minimum 18 years of progressive leadership experience in Telecom, Oil & Gas Downstream, Digital Payment Service Bank, or FMCG industries.
    • Proven track record in strategic and operational leadership roles within top-tier multinational or international brands such as Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea, MTN, Shell Petroleum, Paytm PSB, Coca-Cola, or similar.
  2. Age Range:

    • Ideally between 45-58 years. Exceptional profiles above 58 years will be considered.
  3. Skills and Competencies:

    • Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and execution capabilities.
    • Demonstrated expertise in building and scaling organizations.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Adept at managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration.
  4. Character and Temperament:

    • Resilient, ethical, and adaptable.
    • A visionary leader with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
    • Self-starter with a strong commitment to professional growth and company success.
  5. Regional Fit:

    • Candidates from India, Pakistan, Africa, UAE, Oman, Eastern Europe, or surrounding regions are highly preferred.
