Position Summary:

The Managing Director for Conoil Plc's Lubricants Business will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to drive growth, profitability, and market share in the competitive downstream oil & gas sector. This position requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in managing large-scale businesses, preferably within oil & gas, FMCG, telecom, or digital payment service sectors. The candidate will lead diverse teams, shape the business strategy, and ensure the achievement of key performance indicators while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and corporate governance.

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to grow the lubricants market share and revenue.
    • Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
    • Represent Conoil Plc at global industry forums and build strategic partnerships.
  2. Operational Management:

    • Oversee end-to-end operations, including supply chain, production, distribution, and marketing of lubricants.
    • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and compliance regulations.
  3. Market Expansion:

    • Identify and penetrate new markets, leveraging existing and emerging opportunities.
    • Develop competitive pricing strategies and optimize product portfolio offerings.
  4. Team Leadership:

    • Build, mentor, and manage high-performing teams across functions.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, resilience, and collaboration within the organization.
  5. Financial Oversight:

    • Manage budgets, financial planning, and performance tracking to achieve profitability targets.
    • Drive cost optimization while ensuring quality and service excellence.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Maintain strong relationships with government bodies, industry regulators, partners, and customers.
    • Drive corporate social responsibility initiatives aligned with company values.

Key Requirements:

  1. Experience:

    • A minimum of 18+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
    • Relevant experience in known multinationals or top brands within Oil & Gas (downstream), FMCG, telecom, or digital payment services.
    • Strong track record in sales, marketing, operations, or commercial roles in competitive industries.
  2. Age Criteria:

    • Preferred age range: 45–58 years. Exceptional candidates above 58 years may be considered.
  3. Education:

    • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  4. Skills and Attributes:

    • Proven leadership with the ability to drive organizational change and growth.
    • Strong analytical, decision-making, and strategic planning capabilities.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Resilient, ethical, and results-oriented.
  5. Geographical Preferences:

    • Open to expatriate professionals from India, Pakistan, Africa, UAE, Oman, Eastern Europe, and nearby regions.
