Millwright Expert (Static and Rotating Equipment)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Alignment:

   • Install, assemble, and align static and rotating equipment like compressors, turbines, and pumps per engineering specifications.
   • Perform precision alignment using laser or dial indicators.

2. Maintenance and Repair:

   • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance of rotating and static machinery to ensure optimal performance.
   • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and replace defective components such as seals, bearings, and shafts.

3. Inspection and Diagnostics:

   • Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or defects and diagnose root causes of mechanical failures.
   • Use tools like vibration analyzers, thermal imaging, and oil analysis to monitor equipment conditions.

4. Technical Expertise:

   • Work with seals, bearings, lubrication systems, and other components to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
   • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve equipment design and operations.

5. Safety and Compliance:

   • Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
   • Conduct risk assessments and maintain a safe work environment.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

   • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
   • Prepare detailed technical reports on equipment performance and issues identified.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 12-25 years of experience in handling static and rotating equipment in industries such as oil and gas, power plants, or manufacturing.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in compressors, turbines, pumps, and seals.
  • Proficiency in using alignment tools, precision measurement devices, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, teamwork, and effective communication.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in mechanical maintenance or millwright operations are a plus.
• Physical Ability: Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy equipment when needed.
