Job Title: Project Engineer – Filtration Systems & Thermal Suites


Job Overview:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the installation of filtration systems and thermal suites in wet leisure facilities, including hotels and spas. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise in pool filtration systems, and the ability to liaise with clients and coordinate with the design team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience and be comfortable managing projects through all design stages according to RIBA standards.

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management & Installation:

    • Oversee and manage the installation of filtration systems and thermal suites in hotels, spas, and similar wet leisure facilities.
    • Ensure timely and cost-effective project handover.
  2. Client and Design Coordination:

    • Act as a liaison with client representatives to discuss design, project scope, and timeline.
    • Represent the company at design meetings with consultants, architects, and other stakeholders.
  3. Technical Specifications & Safety Compliance:

    • Supervise the preparation of technical specifications, and ensure compliance with Quality, Health, and Safety standards.
    • Prepare Quality, Health & Safety Plans for each project.
  4. Procurement & Material Sourcing:

    • Source and procure necessary materials for each project, maintaining an awareness of budget constraints.
  5. On-site Management:

    • Oversee the on-site installation and commissioning teams, coordinating labor and resources to ensure smooth workflow.
  6. Design Coordination:

    • Collaborate with the design team to produce drawings (design, tender, shop drawings) and technical specifications.
    • Ensure that all designs comply with project requirements and RIBA standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the design of pool filtration systems (specifically filtration systems rather than general MEP).
  • Education: Degree in Engineering or relevant experience in similar roles.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in AutoCAD and BIM software.
    • Ability to handle and coordinate a full set of drawings, including submission and shop drawings.
  • Communication: Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Coordination Skills:
    • Experience coordinating with property management companies, contractors, architects, and designers.
    • Ability to manage Mechanical & Electrical Engineering aspects of construction projects.
  • Project Design Management: Familiarity with RIBA standard design stages.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs.
