Job Summary:

The Sales Director will lead and manage the entire sales and distribution network of Conoil Plc, driving revenue growth and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role demands a strategic professional with robust experience in high-performing multinationals within Oil & Gas Downstream, FMCG, Telecoms, or Digital Payment service industries. This is a critical leadership role requiring deep industry knowledge, exceptional business acumen, and a proven track record in scaling sales operations.

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute Conoil Plc's sales strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
    • Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams to expand market share.
  2. Sales Management:

    • Oversee the entire sales team, ensuring achievement of set KPIs and targets.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and distributors.
  3. Market Analysis:

    • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
    • Monitor competitors’ activities to maintain a competitive edge.
  4. Revenue Growth:

    • Drive profitability by optimizing sales processes and distribution networks.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop initiatives that enhance product visibility and demand.
  5. Team Building:

    • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
    • Cultivate a culture of excellence, resilience, and commitment within the team.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to foster partnerships and drive collaboration.
    • Represent the organization at key industry forums and events.

Key Requirements:

  1. Experience:

    • Minimum of 18 years of total experience, with proven expertise in sales leadership roles within multinationals in:
      • Oil & Gas (Downstream): Total Energies, Shell, Chevron, Indian Oil Corporation, etc.
      • Telecom: Vodafone, Reliance Jio, Airtel, MTN, Etisalat, etc.
      • Digital Payment Services: Paytm PSB, Fino PSB, Airtel Money, Vodafone Mpesa, etc.
      • FMCG (Commercial/Sales): Coca Cola, Nestle, Unilever, P&G, Tata Consumer Products, etc.
  2. Age Range:

    • Preferably between 45-58 years. Outstanding candidates slightly above 58 years may also be considered.
  3. Educational Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
    • An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
  4. Competencies:

    • Strategic thinking with strong leadership skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
