Job Title: Sales Manager - South (Ansys Software)
Location: Bangalore

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Software Sales Manager with 5 to 10 years of experience in selling CAE/CAD software (Ansys, Dassault, Siemens, Altair, etc.). The ideal candidate should have a strong aptitude for building key customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, negotiating and closing deals, and managing a small team of sales engineers. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations in the Southern region of India and will report to the business leader based in Hyderabad.

This role is well-suited for someone comfortable working autonomously with limited guidance, focused on acquiring new customers, and multitasking to solve customer issues.

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales efforts for the Ansys software product portfolio (Ansys Structural, Ansys CFD, Ansys Electronics, and other Oasys software).
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key and strategic customers.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales engineers; set objectives and monitor their performance.
  • Conduct competitive marketing analysis to build and execute a successful sales strategy to secure new business.
  • Focus on acquiring new customers and building a pipeline of high-value accounts.
  • Collaborate with the support team to ensure effective pre and post-sales assistance.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to drive focused campaigns.
  • Foster a strong working relationship with the Ansys team.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree from a reputed institute/university.
  • Strong communication skills with a result-driven mindset.
  • A strong desire to achieve sales targets.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding or interest in industries like Electronics, Automotive, Industrial Equipment & Rotating Machinery, Material and Chemical Process, Healthcare, or Civil Engineering.
