Job Summary:

The Senior Manager of Merchandising for Alive & Sleek India Division will manage the complete merchandising lifecycle, from product selection and development to inventory control and sales analysis. This role aims to align product offerings with market trends and customer demands while ensuring optimal inventory levels, driving sales growth, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

1. Merchandising Strategy

  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and sales data to inform product selection.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align strategies with overall business goals.

2. Product Selection and Development

  • Oversee product selection to ensure a diverse and appealing assortment.
  • Partner with design and production teams for new product development aligned with market demands.
  • Maintain product quality standards in line with the brand vision.

3. Inventory Management

  • Optimize inventory levels to avoid excess stock and minimize stockouts.
  • Implement robust inventory management systems for timely replenishment.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure inventory accuracy.

4. Sales Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze sales performance to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports for senior management, highlighting recommendations.
  • Utilize data to refine product assortments and enhance sales outcomes.

5. Vendor and Supplier Management

  • Build and sustain strong vendor relationships for cost-effective procurement.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with vendors to optimize pricing and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and ensure vendor compliance with performance standards.

6. Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the merchandising team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs.
  • Foster a high-performing and collaborative team culture.

7. Collaboration and Communication

  • Work cross-functionally with design, production, sales, and marketing teams for seamless execution.
  • Communicate merchandising plans effectively to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback into strategic plans.

    • Increase annual sales revenue by 15%.
  2. Product Assortment Optimization:

    • Maintain a 90% sell-through rate for new assortments.
  3. Inventory Management:

    • Reduce excess inventory by 20% and maintain stockout rates below 5%.
  4. Vendor Performance:

    • Achieve a 95% on-time delivery rate from vendors.
  5. Team Development:

    • Ensure an employee satisfaction score of 85% or higher.
  6. Customer Satisfaction:

    • Attain a customer satisfaction score of 90% or higher.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  1. Sales Revenue Growth: Achieve 15% year-over-year revenue growth.
  2. Sell-Through Rate: Maintain a 90% sell-through rate on new products.
  3. Inventory Turnover Rate: Attain an inventory turnover rate of 4 times annually.
  4. Vendor On-Time Delivery: Ensure a 95% on-time delivery rate.
  5. Employee Satisfaction Score: Achieve 85% satisfaction within the team.
  6. Customer Satisfaction Score: Reach a 90% customer satisfaction rating.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience: 4–6 years in merchandising, with a proven track record in strategy development and execution.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • CTC: ₹55,000–₹60,000 per month.
