Overview: A newly established charitable eye hospital is seeking a highly motivated and experienced ophthalmologist to join as the Senior Ophthalmologist and Medical Director. This position offers the opportunity to lead a state-of-the-art ophthalmological center affiliated with a globally renowned institute.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and conduct clinical activities in the OPD.
• Teach, mentor, and supervise junior ophthalmologists.
• Perform and manage surgeries.
• Collaborate with visiting senior ophthalmologists.
• Oversee quality and patient safety initiatives.
• Manage and report on the hospital’s performance and outcomes data.
• Supervise administrative and clinical staff, including Vision Technicians, Operating Room Technicians, and Nurses.
• Work with trustees on HR and financial decisions.
• Ensure compliance with standards and operating systems, including EMR systems.
• Oversee community and rural outreach programs.
• Develop and review core clinical SOPs.
• Regularly report to the Board of Trustees.
• Update and work closely with the Medical Advisory Board.
• Conduct approved research.
• Adhere to ethical standards and operating principles.
