Job Title: Supply Chain Head

Experience: 4-5 years

Department: Supply Chain
CTC: 1.5 to 2.5 Lakh / Month
Reporting to: Managing Director
Location: Ahmedabad (Head Office)
Travel: 5-10 days a month

Job Purpose

The Supply Chain Head will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain process, covering areas such as planning, warehouse management, distribution, and logistics, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the entire supply chain.

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategy Development: Establish and execute the operation strategy to minimize supply chain complexities.
  2. Supply Chain Management: Oversee all supply chain activities to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products across all sales channels.
  3. Demand Forecasting: Forecast demand and share the requirement with production teams on a quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis.
  4. Returns Management: Reduce sales returns, damaged goods, and short-expiry products by monitoring returns, developing depletion plans, and avoiding overstocking at points of sale.
  5. Stakeholder Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, community organizations, and regulatory bodies.
  6. Inventory Planning: Create inventory plans, monitor stock and finished goods levels, and manage resource allocation according to the budget.
  7. Logistics Supervision: Oversee logistics from the plant to each city warehouse to ensure timely deliveries.
  8. Distribution Management: Manage intra-city day-to-day logistics as per the distribution plan, including creating daily dispatch plans, transportation of finished goods to retail stores, and ensuring timely delivery.
  9. Warehouse Management: Supervise warehouse operations to ensure statutory compliance and optimize warehouse efficiency.
  10. Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze SCM and logistics operations by measuring parameters like transportation costs, damages, TAT (turnaround time), and order fulfillment rates.
  11. Process Optimization: Identify process gaps in SCM and logistics operations, proposing solutions to improve efficiency and continuously monitoring SCM metrics.
  12. Stakeholder Negotiation: Liaise with and negotiate terms with external stakeholders such as transportation service providers and dealers.

Skill Requirements

  1. Skills:

    • Strong commercial and contractual awareness with excellent negotiation skills.
    • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with staff, clients, and vendors.
    • Proficiency in MIS tools, including Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, etc.
  2. Attitude:

    • Self-motivated and proactive.
    • Sincere with a positive problem-solving approach.
  3. Educational Qualification:

    • Graduation in any specialization.
    • Post-Graduation (Not Mandatory): PGDM/MBA in Operations/Supply Chain.
  4. Experience:

    • Preferably from an FMCG or retail background.
