Position Title: Head – Production – Accessories

Job Purpose

To lead and manage the Accessories Production vertical, ensuring high-quality, customer-centric products are delivered efficiently, adhering to OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) timelines, and within budget.

Key Result Areas and Supporting Actions

  1. Design and Product Development

    • Develop prototypes as per Founder’s briefing.
    • Oversee the end-to-end product development process.
    • Ensure product engineering, selection of materials, development of tech packs, and finalizing tools and hardware.
  2. Product Costing

    • Calculate final costs, including forex rates, duty, and freight costs.
    • Check pattern measurements, finalize wastage and material consumption, and optimize labor costs.
  3. Procurement and Inventory Management (Raw Materials)

    • Source products, develop alternate suppliers, negotiate prices, and track orders.
    • Manage end-to-end procurement to payment processes.
    • Plan production and dispatch, monitor daily production progress, and analyze reports on cutting, assembling, and dispatching.
  4. Sourcing and Vendor Management (Finished Goods)

    • Monitor inventory levels and manage vendor development, evaluation, and negotiations.
    • Oversee proto development, production status, and timely dispatch of materials.
  5. Quality Control

    • Monitor the quality of raw materials and oversee in-process quality control.
    • Set standards for raw materials and finished goods, and coordinate material testing with labs.
  6. Packaging

    • Finalize packaging materials and specifications.
    • Monitor daily dispatches and coordinate with logistics for packaging materials.
  7. Merchandise Allocation and Dispatch

    • Monitor sales and finalize reorder levels.
    • Manage inventory and stock levels at store and HO levels.
  8. Sales, Sales Support, and Promotion

    • Follow up on MBO orders and coordinate with the merchandising team.
    • Support the sales team, identify new opportunities, and provide 24/7 sales support.
    • Research sales trends, draft data-driven reports, and optimize in-store displays.
  9. Analyzing and Managing Cash Flow

    • Continuously find ways to reduce procurement and production costs.
    • Analyze profit and loss statements.
  10. Plant and Machinery Maintenance

    • Plan for infrastructure expansion, identify automation areas, and schedule routine maintenance.
    • Negotiate AMCs and design efficient material handling systems.
  11. MIS and Process Benchmarking

    • Conduct regular team meetings to assess progress.
    • Develop and conduct training for karigars.
    • Design and implement MIS systems and policies for best production practices.


Qualification :

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum Qualification: B.F.Tech/ B.Des in Leather/Accessories
  • Minimum Relevant Experience: 10 years
  • Minimum Total Work Experience: 10 years in the accessories production vertical

    • Internal

      • Founder: Weekly/Monthly/as needed - Understanding the Founder’s needs and design language to suggest product lines and develop prototypes.
      • CEO & Retail Director: Weekly/Monthly/as needed - Review category level plans to support business plans and make data-based decisions.
    • External

      • Vendors: As needed/proactively - Establish business rapport with existing vendors and scout for new vendors to ensure a non-disrupted supply of raw materials and finished goods at optimized costs and quality.
