Job Title: Sous Chef – Mediterranean and Italian Cuisine

Detailed Work Profile: We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef specializing in Mediterranean and Italian cuisine for our restaurant in Rotherham, Sheffield. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the high-quality preparation and presentation of dishes. Responsibilities include.

Qualification :

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Menu Planning & Execution: Assist in creating and executing menu items, particularly focusing on Mediterranean and Italian dishes.
  • Food Preparation: Oversee and participate in the preparation of food, ensuring consistent quality and taste.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to kitchen standards and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory, including ordering and stock control, to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with customers to ensure their satisfaction with the meal and address any special dietary needs.

Contract Duration: Permanent

Location of Posting: Rotherham, Sheffield

Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, with significant experience in Mediterranean and Italian cuisine.

Salary Budget: £14.50 per hour

Education Profile Specifications:

  • Graduation: Culinary Arts or related field preferred
  • Post-Graduation: Not required
  • Special Course: Specialized training in Mediterranean and Italian cuisine is an advantage

  • Languages Known: Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
