Product Category Head (Kitchen Appliances - Gas Stoves, Pressure Cookers, Non-stick Appliances)

Job Title: Product Category Head (Kitchen Appliances - Gas Stoves, Pressure Cookers, Non-stick Appliances)

Location: Manjeri, Malappuram, North Kerala (South Indians preferred)

Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience with Kitchen Appliances, specifically Gas Stoves, Pressure Cookers, and Nonstick Products.

Joining: Short notice preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Annual Marketing Plans & Category Strategy:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive annual marketing plan and strategy for the kitchen appliances category.
    • Define short-term and long-term goals, identify target market segments, position products effectively, estimate and monitor the marketing budget.
  2. Product Portfolio Management:

    • Manage the entire product portfolio within the category.
    • Make decisions regarding product introductions, updates, or discontinuations based on market demand, profitability, and company strategy alignment.
  3. Revenue and Profitability:

    • Ensure the product category achieves its revenue and profitability targets.
    • Set sales targets, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  4. Market Analysis:

    • Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities.
    • Utilize market research and intelligence, including market visits, to identify opportunities and threats and adjust the category strategy accordingly.
  5. New Product Development:

    • Oversee the development and launch of new products within the category.
    • Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and sales teams to successfully bring new products to market.
  6. Pricing Strategy:

    • Set appropriate pricing for products within the category.
    • Ensure pricing aligns with market dynamics, product positioning, and the competitive landscape.
  7. Inventory Management:

    • Ensure optimal inventory levels for products in the category.
    • Balance avoiding stockouts with minimizing excess inventory costs.
  8. Driving Brand Promotion Campaigns:

    • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective trade promotions, consumer promotions, in-store brand visibility, and brand-building advertising campaigns.
  9. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Build and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, sales, marketing, customer service, and supply chain.
    • Ensure smooth execution of the category strategy.
  10. Compliance and Regulations:

    • Ensure all products within the category comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Qualification :

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

  3. Financial & Inventory Management: Ensure revenue goals, optimize inventory levels.
