Years of experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the role of Quality, Environmental, Health

and Safety Site Officer Working experience in the Middle East is a preference

Qualification: Bachelor degree

 

Field of expertise and experience:

Health & Safety, Quality assurance and quality control, Environmental monitoring programs, Safety audits and inspections, Labour welfare inspections, Marine works and demolition, Knowlegde about ISO 9001, 14001 etc.

 

Language skills: Fluent in writing and speaking English is mandatory.

Responsibilities: The Quality Environmental Health and Safety Site officer inspect and monitorenvironment, machineries and processes to ensure safety as per the contract, government rules, Environmental Permits issued and regulations and industry standards. This to ensure compliance with the Contractors Quality

Environmental Health and Safety plans, NOC and permit requirements and

governmental regulations.

 

Specific duties:

 Continuously raise awareness about safety

 Identify potential hazards and hazardous materials and also collecting sample of them and analyze

 Conduct periodic joint or independent inspection of hazards and recommend changes in products, machineries or processes to protect workers

 Ensure adequate and timely procurement and maintenance of personal protective equipment

 Conduct in‐house training programs or arrange participation in Contractors safety program to educate their employees about safety

 Carry out mock drills and first aid training

 Participate in Environmental monitoring programs and inspections as applicable

 Investigate accidents of the past and identify their causes and find new ways to avoid them in future

Qualification :

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management within the construction or oil and gas industry.
  • Certifications: NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and environmental management practices.
  • Language: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
